A repository of Readership Research Symposia papers and news regarding upcoming symposia. The site gives you access to some 30 years of international professional wisdom and experience in measuring print media: magazines, newspapers and increasingly, print media content on the internet. The papers presented at all the bi-annual readership symposia, from the first, in New Orleans in 1981, to the most recent, held in Vienna in 2007, are available here, and reproduced in their totality; in all some 700 papers. While the most recent contributions will be of interest to gain insight into current thinking, many earlier papers deal with technical issues which will be particular interest to those involved in the design and interpretation of survey research. All the Symposia have been sponsored by the Kantar Group and Ipsos MediaCT, two survey research organisations, which are themselves practioners of media research in most of the media markets around the world. The symposia are attended by all parties involved in the media; industry bodies, research and advertising agencies and software suppliers. |
